Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials. If you are a complete beginner all you need to start is a set of watercolour paints, brushes, and water container.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Pigments course!!! Tim is so knowledgeable and shared so much information . It was a friendly relaxed atmosphere and I felt comfortable as a beginner to ask any questions!!! I will be going more of his workshops. 2 hours was a perfect amount of time , there?s a lot of information to absorb.

ARTISTS
Tim Houghton
Tim Houghton is a New Zealand-based artist known for his expressive and dynamic painting style. With a degree in Fine Art from Cardiff College of Art, he spent two decades in the San Francisco Bay Area, exhibiting his work in solo and group shows.
He is fascinated by the colours and vibrancy of the world's cultures and peoples and the challenge of capturing these visual experiences on paper or canvas. His passion for travel has taken him to over 60 countries, most recently Morocco, Eastern Europe, India, Spain and the Pacific Islands.
Alongside his artistic journey, he has been deeply involved in social work, supporting refugees and marginalised communities. His faith plays a central role in his life and creative practice, reflecting a deep appreciation for beauty, movement and storytelling through art.
Having lived for the last 25 years in New Zealand, Tim paints in watercolour and acrylics in his home studio. His website is: timhoughton.org
